Our last Substack discussed Claudia and the Big Test (Claudia and the Middle School Mystery) and, briefly, Stacey’s Revenge (Stacey’s Emergency). Remember?
Starting off with Mystery #1: Claudia and the Big Test?
Are you confused by the title? Well, "Claudia and the Big Test" and "Jessi and the Dance School Phantom" were supposed to be the first two (official) mysteries! I wonder what happened to change that?! They certainly were very clear mysteries and written that way from the start, as we can see.
We’ll get more into Stacey’s Emergency, with lots of background details about how it was researched, written, and edited, in our next Substack entry, featuring notes from the real, live Dr. Claudia Werner! For now, a fun game. How many BSC books can you guess from their working titles?
Hints: These are all main series books but are not in order. There is one book that is represented with two different working titles.
